Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection
ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR INSPECTION 1.
Drain engine coolant
2.
Remove ECT sensor
3.
Inspect ECT sensor
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Resistance: Refer to the graph If the resistance is not as specified. replace the ECT sensor.
4.
Reinstall ECT sensor
5.
Refill with engine coolant
