Vehicle Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection




Vehicle NO.1 Speed Sensor Inspection Procedure





- Remove the combination meter.
- Connect an ohmmeter between terminals A and B.
- Revolve the meter shaft and check that the meter needle repeatedly deflects form 0 to infinity.




Vehicle NO.2 Speed Sensor Inspection Procedure


No. 2 Speed Sensor:






- Jack up a rear wheel on one side.
- Connect an ohmmeter between the terminals.
- Spin the wheel and check that the meter needle deflects from 0 to infinity.
