Sunroof / Moonroof Motor: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT SLIDING ROOF MOTOR OPERATION




a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3, check that the motor turns clockwise.




b. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns counterclockwise.

INSPECT SLIDING ROOF MOTOR CIRCUIT BREAKER OPERATION




a. With the sliding roof in the fully opened position, hold the sliding roof switch at the "OPEN" position and check that there is a circuit breaker operation noise within 10 to 60 seconds.




b. With the sliding roof in the fully opened position, hold the sliding roof switch at the "CLOSE" position and check that the sliding roof begins to close within 60 seconds.
If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
