WIPER RUBBER REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE


The supply format of the wiper rubber has been changed. This Service Bulletin explains the replacement procedure for the new wiper rubber (squeegy).

SUPPLY FORMAT CHANGE OF WIPER RUBBER:







Difference between previous and new supply format.

REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE:







1. Remove blade assembly from wiper arm.

Caution: Put a shop towel or equivalent between wiper arm end and windshield to avoid damaging glass when putting wiper arm down without blade assembly.







2. Remove rubber with backing plates from frame and replace rubber (squeegy) only.

Hint: Re-use backing plates.











3. Install backing plates from previous rubber on the new rubber ( squeegy ).







Hint: The backing plates are slightly curved, so check the curvature and set them correctly on the new rubber as shown.

4. Insert rubber ( squeegy ) with backing plates into frame.
5. Install blade assembly to wiper arm.

Hint: Install the rubber head in the direction shown. .
