1. INSPECT BLOWER SPEED CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.







2. INSPECT MODE CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

3. INSPECT HEATER CONTROL DIAL AND LEVER OPERATION
Turn the control lever and dials left and right then check that click sound can be heard and recoil is felt. If click sound can be heard or recoil is felt, adjust the control cable or check control cable and heater control assembly.

4. INSPECT A/C INDICATOR OPERATION




a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and negative (-) lead to terminal 2.
b. Push the A/C button in and check that the A/C indicator lights up.
If operation is not as specified, replace the heater control assembly.




c. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 8 and negative (-) lead to terminal 10, then check that the indicator dimes.
If operation is not as specified, replace the heater control assembly.


5. INSPECT AIR INLET INDICATORS OPERATION




a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and negative (-) lead to terminals 6 and 7.
b. Check the "FRESH" and "RECIRC" indicators light up alternately each time the air inlet control switch button is pressed.
If operation is not as specified, replace the heater control assembly.




6. INSPECT A/C SWITCH CONTINUITY




If continuity is not as specified, replace the heater control assembly.
