Traction Control Module: Description and Operation

Anti-Lock Brake System
The IG circuit is the power source for the ECU, hence the actuators.

Fail safe function:
If trouble occurs in the ECU, the ECU cuts off current to the ABS solenoid relay and prohibits ABS control.


ABS With Traction Control
The IG circuit is the power source for the ECU, hence the actuators.

If any trouble occurs in the engine control system, the ECU prohibits TRAC control.

The communications circuit is used to send TRAC control information from the ABS & TRAC ECU to the ECM (TRC+, TRC-), and engine control information from the ECM to the ABS & TRAC ECU (EFI+, EFI-).
