EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY

2. REMOVE EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

3. INSPECT EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

Resistance:
At 50° C (122° F) 64 - 97 K Ohms
At 100° C (212° F) 11 - 16 K Ohms
At 150° C (302° F) 2 - 4 K Ohms

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
