Introduction
In case of a loose snap (door lock control link clip), which may cause a rattle noise in the door, replace with a modified snap.

Applicable Vehicles
^ 2000 model year Avalon produced before the VIN below.





Repair Procedure

Refer to the 2000 Avalon Repair Manual.

1. Replace the loose snap (door lock control link clip) with the new snap (P/N 69759-A0020).

2. After replacement, confirm the following:

- The door locks and unlocks with the key.

- The inside release handle opens the door (from a locked and unlocked condition).

- A rattle noise does not occur when opening or closing the door.

- The outside release handle opens the door.The lock knob locks/unlocks the door.
