Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

HINT: At the time of the installation, please refer to the following item.
Evacuate air from refrigeration system.
Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.
Specified amount:
Single A/C: 800 ± 50 g (28.22 ± 1.76 oz.)
Dual A/C (4-Door): 1,250 ± 50 g (44.09 ± 1.76 oz.)
Dual A/C (5-Door): 1,350 ± 50 g (47.61 ± 1.76 oz.)




2. DISCONNECT 2 LIQUID TUBES FROM RECEIVER
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the both tubes.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kg.cm, 48 in.lb)

NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

HINT:
At the time of installation, please refer to the following item.
Lubricate 2 new 0-rings with compressor oil and install the tubes.




3. REMOVE RECEIVER
Remove the holder bolt and pull out receiver upward.

HINT:
At the time of installation, please refer to the following item.
If receiver is replaced, add compressor oil to compressor.
Add 20 cc (0.71 fl.oz.)
Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent




4. REMOVE RECEIVER HOLDER
a. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
b. Disconnect the suction hose clamp.
c. Remove the 3 bolts and holder.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal
