INTRODUCTION:
Some vehicles may exhibit wind noise coming from both the front and rear door window glass. The following repair has been developed to improve this condition.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2001 - 2005 model year Highlander vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Replace the affected outside belt molding assembly.
1. Replace Front Door Moulding Assembly LH.
HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
NOTE:
Refer to the ETAS, Applicable model year Highlander Repair Manual: Engine/Hood; Front Door; Overhaul (Highlander).
A. Remove power window regulator switch assembly.
B. Remove front door lower frame bracket garnish LH.
C. Remove door pull handle.
D. Remove front door trim board sub--assembly.
E. Remove front door belt moulding assembly LH.
a. Remove the screw.
b. Put protective tape under the moulding (i.e., masking tape, body shop tape).
c. Using a moulding remover or scraper, remove the moulding.
2. Replace Rear Door Moulding Assembly LH.
HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

A. Remove door pull handle.
B. Remove rear door trim board sub--assembly LH.
C. Remove rear door belt moulding assembly LH.
a. Remove the screw.
b. Put protective tape under the moulding (i.e., masking tape, body shop tape).
c. Using a moulding remover or scraper, remove the moulding.
