DATA LISTHINT: According to the DATA LIST displayed by the OBD II scan tool or hand-held tester, you can read the value of the switch, sensor, actuator and so on without parts removal. Reading the DATA LIST as a first step of troubleshooting is one of the method to shorten the labor time.
NOTE: The values given below for "Normal Condition" are representative values. So, a vehicle may still be normal even if its value differs from those listed here. So, do not depend solely on the "Normal Condition" here when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
a. Warm up the engine.
b. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
c. Connect the OBD II scan tool or the Hand-held tester to the DLC3.
d. Turn the ignition switch ON.
e. According to the display on tester, read the "DATA LIST".
