Removal and Installation

Generator Assy (2AZ-FE):






REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE DRIVE BELT




2. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the engine wire as shown in the illustration.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and generator.




3. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Confirm that the wire harness of the crankshaft position sensor is placed as shown in the illustration.
b. Install the generator.

Torque:
21 Nm (214 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf) for M8
52 Nm (530 kgf.cm, 38 ft.lbf) for M10
9 Nm (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf) for wiring harness clamp
9.8 Nm (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) for generator wire

NOTE: Be careful not to put the wire harness in when install the generator.
