Variable Valve Timing Actuator Position Sensor: Service and Repair

VVT SENSOR

REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET NO.2
2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSY







3. REMOVE VVT SENSOR
a. Disconnect the 2 VVT sensor connectors.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 VVT sensors.

4. INSTALL VVT SENSOR
a. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring on the VVT sensor.
b. Install the 2 VVT sensors with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)

c. Connect the 2 VVT sensor connectors.

5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSY
6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET NO.2
