INSPECT MASS AIR FLOW METER

a. Check the output voltage.




1. Apply battery voltage across terminals 3 (+B) and (E2G).
2. Connect the positive (+) tester probe to terminal (VG), and the negative (-) tester probe to terminal 4 (E2G).
3. Blow air into the MAF meter, and check if the voltage fluctuates.

b. Check the resistance.

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 2 (THA) and 1 (E2).

Resistance:
12.5 to 16.9 kOhm at -20°C (-4°F)
2.19 to 2.67 kOhm at 20°C (68°F)
0.50 to 0.68 kOhm at 60°C (140°F)
