Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Check Sequential Transmission Fluid Level

CHECK SEQUENTIAL TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL

HINT: Check the fluid level with the entire sequential manual transmission system connected and no pressure inside the accumulator.

a. Park the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.
b. Reduce the accumulator pressure.
c. Remove the air cleaner box.

d. Remove the protective cover from the reservoir tank to reveal the fluid level.
e. Check that the fluid level is between the upper and lower level marks.

NOTE: When adding sequential M/T fluid to the reservoir, use only sequential M/T fluid (part number: 08886-02206). This fluid is sold in one-liter containers. It is not interchangeable with brake fluid or ATF.
