TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU REPLACEMENT

The transmission control ECU (TCM) is located under the panel behind the driver's seat.





a. Record the radio station presets.
b. Turn the ignition switch OFF and remove the key from the ignition switch.





c. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal from the battery, or remove the SMT-B fuse from the F L Block and J/B No.1.
d. Remove the four retaining bolts from the transmission control ECU mounting flanges before disconnecting the electrical connector of the ECU.





e. Connect the electrical connector to the new transmission control ECU before securing the ECU with the four retaining bolts.
f. Reinstall the SMT-B fuse or reconnect the negative (-) terminal to the battery.
g. Perform "Initial Learning of Transmission Control ECU".
