Acceleration/Deceleration Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)
2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
4. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
5. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)
6. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL (for Manual Transaxle)
7. REMOVE UPPER REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
8. REMOVE UPPER REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)
9. REMOVE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR




a. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor.

NOTE: Do not remove the sensor from the bracket.

10. REMOVE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR (for BOSCH Made)




a. Remove the 2 nuts and yaw rate sensor from the bracket.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR (for BOSCH Made)




a. Install the yaw rate and acceleration sensor to the bracket with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)

2. INSTALL YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR




a. Install the yaw rate sensor and acceleration with the 2 bolts.

NOTE:
- Do not damage the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.
- Make sure that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor is installed securely.

Torque: 13 N.m (133 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the yaw rate and acceleration sensor connector.

3. INSTALL UPPER REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)
4. INSTALL UPPER REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
5. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL (for Manual Transaxle)
6. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY
7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
8. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
9. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
10. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)
11. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION Calibration
12. INSPECT SENSOR SIGNAL
