Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

INITIALIZATION

NOTE: Initialize the navigation system (screen noise automatic adjustment) to reduce noise when screen noise occurs upon replacing the multi-display or the navigation ECU.

HINT: Illustrations may differ from the actual vehicle depending on the device settings and options. Therefore, some detailed areas may not be shown exactly the same as on the actual vehicle.

1. SCREEN NOISE AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT

a. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position and wait for at least 6 seconds to activate the diagnostic mode.
b. Select "Navigation Check" from the "Diagnosis MENU" screen.

c. Adjustment is completed when the "Navigation Check" screen appears with a beep.

HINT:
- Make sure that the orange completion mark is displayed on the upper left corner of the screen.
- If automatic adjustment has not been performed after replacing the multi-display, the following condition will occur:
When the ignition switch is turned to the ACC position, a beep sounds for approximately 3 seconds after the initial screen appears.
- A beep does not sound even if automatic adjustment has not been preformed after replacing the navigation ECU.
- If a beep still sounds when the ignition switch is turned to the ACC position after completing automatic adjustment, perform the adjustment again.

d. Cancel the diagnostic mode.
