Acceleration/Deceleration Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

NOTE:
- Do not use the dropped or damaged yaw rate sensor.
- Keep foreign matter from adhering to the area between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body.

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
2. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR BRACKET




a. Remove the bolt and yaw rate sensor bracket.

3. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the connector from the yaw rate sensor assembly.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor assembly.

NOTE: Do not remove the installation nuts.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY




a. Install the yaw rate sensor assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the connector to the yaw rate sensor assembly.

2. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR BRACKET




a. Install the yaw rate sensor bracket with the bolt.

Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
4. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION. Calibration
