Removal and Replacement

Starter:

Starter

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

4. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the starter connector [A].
b. Open the terminal cover.
c. Remove the nut [C], then remove the starter wire.

d. Remove the 2 bolts, then remove the starter.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the starter assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 37 N.m (378 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the starter wire with the nut [B].

Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)

c. Close the terminal cover.
d. Connect the starter connector [D].

2. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
3. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

4. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
