Spark Plug: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER
2. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE
3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH ELEMENT

4. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the 6 ignition coil connectors.




b. Remove the 6 bolts and 6 ignition coils.

5. REMOVE SPARK PLUG
a. Using a 16 mm plug wrench, remove the spark plugs.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG
a. Using a 16 mm plug wrench, install the spark plug.

Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)




2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY
a. Install the 6 ignition coils with the 6 bolts.

Torque: 9.0 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf)

b. Connect the 6 ignition coil connectors.

3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH ELEMENT
4. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE
5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER
