Map Light: Service and Repair

Map Light Assembly:

MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL




2. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Using a roof moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws.
b. Disconnect the connector, and remove the map light.

3. REMOVE MAP LIGHT BULB




a. Turn the 2 map light sockets and bulbs, in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration, to remove them.
b. Remove the 2 map light bulbs from the light socket.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL MAP LIGHT BULB
a. Install the map light bulb into the light socket.




b. Turn the map light bulb socket and bulb, in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.




2. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Connect the connector.
b. Engage the 4 claws and install the map light.

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
