SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION: Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing it Service Precautions.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH Removal

4. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE SWITCH BASE Removal

6. REMOVE CONSOLE CUP HOLDER BOX Removal

7. REMOVE UPPER REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE CONSOLE REAR END PANEL Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER INNER LH Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER INNER RH Removal

11. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal







12. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the airbag sensor connectors.
(b) Remove the 3 bolts and airbag sensor.
