Remote Up / Down Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

With the ignition switch ON, the power window regulator master switch transmits remote switch signals to the passenger side power window regulator switch. Then, the regulator switch drives the power window regulator motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK POWER WINDOW LOCK SWITCH





(a) Turn the window lock switch OFF and operate the master switch passenger side switch. Check that the remote UP/DOWN function operates normally.
OK:
Remote UP/DOWN function operates normally.
NG -- CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION
OK -- END
2. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that the passenger side power window manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.
OK:
Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.
NG -- OTHER PROBLEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE SWITCH)





(a) Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch when the switch is operated.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH - CONVERTIBLE ROOF CONTROL ECU)





(a) Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the C18 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE CONVERTIBLE ROOF CONTROL ECU
