DOOR LOCK: POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM: Only Rear Door RH LOCK / UNLOCK Functions do not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) receives lock/unlock switch signals and activates the door lock motor according to these signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY




(a) Remove the rear door lock assembly RH Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR CIRCUIT)




(a) Disconnect the instrument panel junction block connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH CIRCUIT)
(a) Disconnect the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block)(*1) or instrument panel junction block(*2) connector.
HINT:
- *1: w/ Smart Key System, Power Back Door System and Glass Hatch Opener System
- *2: w/o Smart Key System, Power Back Door System and Glass Hatch Opener System




(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





HINT:
- *1: w/ Smart Key System, Power Back Door System and Glass Hatch Opener System
- *2: w/o Smart Key System, Power Back Door System and Glass Hatch Opener System

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
