Security Indicator Light Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The certification ECU indicates the key registration condition by lighting up, blinking or turning off the security indicator.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SECURITY INDICATOR)
(a) Operate the Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "Active Test" Engine Immobiliser System (w/ Smart Key System).
Smart Key
OK:
Security indicator illuminates.
NG -- INSPECT HEATER CONTROL PANEL
OK -- REPLACE ECU AGGREGATION BOX (CERTIFICATION ECU)
2. INSPECT HEATER CONTROL PANEL
(a) Remove the heater control panel Removal.
(b) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 10 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 7, then check that security indicator illuminates.
OK:
Security indicator illuminates.
NG -- REPLACE HEATER CONTROL PANEL
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEATER CONTROL PANEL - CERTIFICATION ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the E23 panel connector.
(b) Disconnect the E84 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE ECU AGGREGATION BOX (CERTIFICATION ECU)
