Installation








2AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side)
(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the sensor.
NOTE: Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing the sensor.





(b) Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the bolt.
Adhesive:
Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent.





(c) Install the sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(d) Connect the sensor connector.
2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side)
(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the sensor.
NOTE: Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing the sensor.





(b) Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the bolt.
Adhesive:
Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent.





(c) Install the sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(d) Connect the sensor connector.
