Installation








2UZ-FE EMISSION CONTROL: AIR SWITCHING VALVE: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)





(a) Install the air switching valve assembly with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)

NOTE: Do not hold the bracket of the air switching valve assembly.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR TUBE





(a) Temporarily install a new gasket and the No. 2 air tube to the exhaust manifold side with the 2 nuts.
(b) Install a new gasket and the No. 2 air tube to the air switching valve side with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(c) Tighten the 2 nuts on the exhaust manifold side.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)





(d) Connect the air switching valve assembly connector.
(e) Connect the wire harness clamp.
3. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE
(a) Connect the No. 2 air injection system hose to the air switching valve assembly.
4. INSTALL NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE





(a) Connect the No. 1 water by-pass pipe with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)
5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH





(a) Install the front fender apron seal RH with the 5 clips.





6. INSTALL AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)
(a) Install the air switching valve assembly with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)

NOTE: Do not hold the bracket of the air switching valve assembly.





7. INSTALL NO. 3 AIR TUBE
(a) Temporarily install a new gasket and the No. 3 air tube to the exhaust manifold side with the 2 nuts.
(b) Install a new gasket and the No. 3 air tube to the air switching valve side with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(c) Tighten the 2 nuts on the exhaust manifold side.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
8. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR HOSE





(a) Install the No. 2 air hose.





(b) Connect the air switching valve assembly connector.
(c) Connect the fuel hose clamp.
9. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH





(a) Install the front fender apron seal LH with the 5 clips.
