Cylinder Head Torque and Sequence

CYLINDER HEAD LH





Using a 10 mm bi-hexagon wrench, install and uniformly tighten the 10 cylinder head bolts with the plate washers in several steps, in the sequence shown in the illustration.

Torque 36 Nm (367 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)





Mark the front of the cylinder head bolts with paint.
Further tighten the cylinder head bolts 90° and then an additional 90° as shown in the illustration.
Check that the paint mark is now at a 180° angle from the front.





Install and uniformly tighten the 2 cylinder head bolts.

Torque 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf)

CYLINDER HEAD SUB-ASSEMBLY





Using a 10 mm bi-hexagon wrench, install and uniformly tighten the 10 cylinder head bolts with the plate washers in several steps, in the sequence shown in the illustration.

Torque 36 Nm (367 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)





Mark the front of the cylinder head bolts with paint.
