DESCRIPTION

The radio receiver assembly sends sound signals to the speaker.

1. CHECK SPEAKER
(a) Check the malfunctioning speakers.

2. CHECK FRONT SIDE SPEAKER
(a) Check the malfunctioning speakers.

3. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY




(a) Disconnect the S20*1 and S19*2 speaker connectors.
HINT: *1: for RH Side
*2: for LH Side
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

(c) Reconnect the speaker connectors.
C -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
B -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)




(a) Disconnect the R1 radio receiver assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the S20*1 and S19*2 speaker connectors.
HINT: *1: for RH Side
*2: for LH Side
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

for LH Side





for RH Side





(d) Reconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.
(e) Reconnect the speaker connectors.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
5. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY




(a) Disconnect the S16*1 and S15*2 speaker connectors.
HINT: *1: for RH Side
*2: for LH Side
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

(c) Reconnect the speaker connectors.
C -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
B -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)




(a) Disconnect the S16*1, S15*2, S20*1 and S19*2 speaker connectors.
HINT: *1: for RH Side
*2: for LH Side
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) Reconnect the speaker connectors.

7. CHECK REAR SIDE SPEAKER
(a) Check the malfunctioning speakers.

8. INSPECT REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY




(a) Disconnect the S18*1 and S17*2 speaker connectors.
HINT: *1: for RH Side
*2: for LH Side
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:





(c) Reconnect the speaker connectors.
NG -- REPLACE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)




(a) Disconnect the R2 radio receiver assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the S18*1 and S17*2 speaker connectors.
HINT: *1: for RH Side
*2: for LH Side
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

for LH Side

(d) Reconnect the speaker connectors.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

10. INSPECT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY WITH BOX




(a) Disconnect the S30 speaker connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:





(c) Reconnect the speaker connector.
NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY WITH BOX
OK -- Continue to next step.

11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY WITH BOX)




(a) Disconnect the R2 radio receiver assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the S30 no. 1 speaker assembly with box connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

for LH Side

(d) Reconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.
(e) Reconnect the speaker connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
12. INSPECT ROOF SPEAKER ASSEMBLY




(a) Disconnect the R12*1 and R13*2 speaker connectors.
HINT: *1: for RH Side
*2: for LH Side
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:





(c) Reconnect the speaker connectors.
NG -- REPLACE ROOF SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - CONDENSER - ROOF SPEAKER)




(a) Disconnect the R2 radio receiver assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the R11 condenser connector.
(c) Disconnect the R12*1 and R13*2 speaker connectors.
HINT: *1: for RH Side
*2: for LH Side
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

for LH Side





for RH Side





(e) Reconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.
(f) Reconnect the condenser connector.
(g) Reconnect the speaker connectors.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

14. REPLACE CONDENSER
(a) Replace the condenser with a new or normal.
HINT:
- 1GR-FE Removal
- 2TR -FE Removal

OK:
Sound is heard from the roof speakers.
