Front Door Outside Handle Removal - With Power Window

NOTE

Perform the same procedure for the left and right front door handles.

1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal.





2. Remove front door lower frame bracket garnish LH.

A. Disengage the 3 clips and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish LH.

B. Confirm that no clips remain on the door panel
when the garnish is removed. Transfer any remaining clips to the garnish side before installing.





3. Remove power window regulator master switch assembly (for Double Cab).

A. Using a plastic pry tool, disengage the 3 claws and clip, then remove the power window regulator master switch assembly.

B. Disconnect the connector.

4. Remove power window regulator master switch assembly (for Access Cab).





A. Using a plastic pry tool, disengage the 3 claws and clip, then remove the power window regulator master switch assembly.

B. Disconnect the connector.

5. Remove power window regulator switch assembly.

A. Using a plastic pry tool, disengage the 3 claws and clip, then remove the power window regulator switch assembly.





B. Disconnect the connector.

6. Remove front door trim panel assembly LH.





A. Using a plastic pry tool, open the cover.





B. Remove the 2 screws.





C. Disengage the 10 clips and remove the front door trim panel assembly LH.





7. Remove front door service hole cover LH.

A. Remove the front door service hole cover LH.

B. Remove the remaining tape on the door side.





8. Remove front door outside handle cover LH.

A. Remove the hole plug.

B. Using a T30 Torx socket, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover LH.

9. Remove front door outside handle assembly LH.





A. Remove the front door outside handle assembly LH by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow mark in Figure 11.





B. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door outside handle front pad.





10. Remove front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH.

A. Using a T30 Torx socket, remove the screw.

B. Proceed to Installation Procedure.
