Slip Indicator Light Remains ON
DESCRIPTION
The SLIP indicator light blinks during VSC and/or TRAC operation.
When the system fails, the SLIP indicator light comes on to warn the driver Vehicle Stability Control System (for Vacuum Brake Booster).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE: When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Vehicle Stability Control System (for Vacuum Brake Booster).
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Check if the same DTC(s) is output Vehicle Stability Control System (for Vacuum Brake Booster).
Result
B -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK IF SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR IS SECURELY CONNECTED
(a) Check if the skid control ECU connector is securely connected.
OK:
The connector is securely connected.
NG -- CONNECT CONNECTOR TO ECU CORRECTLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK BATTERY
(a) Check the battery voltage.
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
NG -- CHECK OR REPLACE CHARGING SYSTEM OR BATTERY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the C9 combination meter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Perform Active Test of the combination meter using the Techstream Data List / Active Test.
OK:
The SLIP indicator light turns ON or OFF in accordance with the Techstream.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
