How To Proceed With Troubleshooting





DOOR LOCK: WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (w/o Smart Key System): HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

* The wireless door lock control system troubleshooting procedures are based on the premise that the power door lock control system is operating normally. Check the power door lock control system first before troubleshooting the wireless door lock control system.
* Use these procedures to troubleshoot the wireless door lock control system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Wireless Door Lock Control System (w/o Smart Key System).

(b) Clear the DTCs Wireless Door Lock Control System (w/o Smart Key System).

(c) Recheck for DTCs.

Based on the DTCs output above, try to force output of the same LIN communication system DTC or wireless door lock control system DTC by reproducing the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
