PISTON SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH CONNECTING ROD

Tighten the connecting rod cap bolts in 2 progressive steps.

Step 1

Using SST, install and alternately tighten the bolts of the connecting rod cap in several steps.






SST : 09205-16010

Torque 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

Step 2

Mark the front of the connecting rod cap bolts with paint.






Further tighten the cap bolts an additional 90° as shown in the illustration

Standard thrust clearance 0.160 to 0.342 mm (0.0063 to 0.0135 in.)

Maximum thrust clearance 0.342 mm (0.0135 in.)
