DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when items controlled by the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) cannot be customized via the navigation system vehicle customization screen.

HINT

The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) controls the items for the following systems that are customizable via the navigation system screen:

- Smart key system (for Entry Function)
- Smart key system (for Start Function)





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally Diagnosis System.

OK:

CAN communication DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM CAN Communication System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK SMART KEY SYSTEM (for Entry Function)

(a) Check if the smart key system (for entry function) is malfunctioning How To Proceed With Troubleshooting.

HINT
Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the smart key system (for entry function).

OK:

No malfunctions are present in the smart key system (for entry function).

NG -- GO TO SMART KEY SYSTEM (for Entry Function) How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK SMART KEY SYSTEM (for Start Function)

(a) Check if the smart key system (for start function) is malfunctioning Smart Key System (for Start Function).

HINT
Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the smart key system (for start function).

OK:

No malfunctions are present in the smart key system (for start function).

NG -- GO TO SMART KEY SYSTEM (for Start Function) Smart Key System (for Start Function)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK CUSTOMIZE ITEMS

(a) Display the "Vehicle Customization" screen.





(b) Make a note of the customizable items for each certification ECU related system.

HINT
These items shown as customizable via the navigation system vehicle customization screen can also be changed using the Techstream. In a following step, the Techstream will be used.

(1) To match-up the items in the navigation display with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the smart key system (for entry function) related items that can be customized via the navigation system screen Smart Key System (for Entry Function).

(2) To match-up the items in the navigation display with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the smart key system (for start function) related items that can be customized via the navigation system screen Smart Key System (for Start Function).

(c) Using the Techstream, confirm that it is possible to change the settings of the customize parameters that are available for customization via the navigation system screen.

OK:

The items available for customization via the navigation system screen can be customized successfully using the Techstream.
