BRAKE (FRONT): FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE: INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. INSTALL FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE

(a) Install a new the clip to the flexible hose.





(b) Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), connect the flexible hose to the brake tube while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

without union nut wrench - Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

with union nut wrench - Torque : 14 Nm (145 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

HINT
* Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.).
* The torque value for use with a union nut wrench is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.
NOTICE:
* Do not bend or damage the brake tube.
* Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting point.
(c) Install the bolt.

Torque : 31 Nm (316 kgf-cm, 23 ft-lbf)

(d) Install a new gasket and connect the flexible hose with the union bolt.





Torque : 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

2. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

3. BLEED BRAKE LINE Service and Repair

4. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Testing and Inspection

5. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 131 Nm (1336 kgf-cm, 97 ft-lbf)
