DESCRIPTION

When the light switch TAIL signal is received from the cowl side junction block ECU, the license plate light illuminates.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (TAIL, LH-J/B)

(a) Remove the TAIL fuse from the main body ECU.

(b) Remove the LH-J/B fuse from the engine room relay block, junction block.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - BATTERY)

(a) Remove the 2A ECU connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the 2C ECU connector.

(b) for LH:

(1) Disconnect the S3 light connector.

(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(c) for RH:

(1) Disconnect the S2 light connector.

(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- CHECK LICENSE PLATE LIGHT (OPERATION)

4. CHECK LICENSE PLATE LIGHT (OPERATION)

(a) Temporarily replace the license plate light with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

(b) Check that the license plate light.

OK:

License plate light illuminates

NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU

OK -- END (REPLACE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT)
