APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:

Some 2010 Prius vehicles may exhibit an engine under cover that has warped at the front edge after oil maintenance has been completed. An updated engine under cover is now available to address this condition.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Inspect engine under cover and oil filter access panel for warpage.
If warpage is found, replace engine under cover with updated part.

2. Remove the 6 bolts and 14 retaining clips from the engine under cover and slide toward rear of vehicle to remove cover.

NOTE
There are three types of clips:
- 11 plastic to thin metal (Part No: 90467-07201)
- 2 plastic to thinner metal (Part No: 90467-09227)
- 1 plastic to plastic (Part No: 90467-07166)







NOTICE
Clips are not interchangeable. See Figure 1 for specific clip locations.

3. Position new engine under cover into place and install the 14 retaining clips in their correct locations, then install the 6 bolts (See Figure 1).

NOTE
Gently pull down on the edges of the engine under cover to ensure the clips are installed in the correct locations.
