Removal

EXTERIOR: FRONT BUMPER (w/o Under Guard): REMOVAL

1. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER





(a) Remove the 9 clips and radiator support opening cover.

2. REMOVE CENTER HOOD CUSHION





(a) Using a clip remover, remove the center hood cushion.

3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR





(a) Remove the 2 radiator grille protectors.

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH (w/ Diffuser)





(a) Remove the screw, bolt, nut and splash shield.

5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH (w/ Diffuser)

HINT
Use the procedure described for the LH side.

6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER





(a) Using a screwdriver, turn the pin hold clip 90° and remove the pin hold clip.

HINT
* Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
(b) Remove the retainer.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.





(c) Put protective tape around the bumper cover.

(d) w/ Diffuser:

(1) Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.

(2) Remove the 8 screws.





(e) w/o Diffuser:

(1) Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.

(2) Remove the 10 screws.





(f) Detach the 4 claws and remove the bumper cover.

(g) w/ Fog Light:

Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors.

7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER





(a) Remove the energy absorber.

8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER CENTER STAY SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and stay.

9. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and reinforcement.

12. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT





(a) Detach the 3 clamps and remove the wire harness.

(b) Remove the 8 bolts and reinforcement.

13. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH





(a) Remove the bolt.

(b) Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the retainer.

HINT
Tape the clip remover tip before use.

14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

HINT
Use the procedure described for the LH side.
