ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: BACK DOOR: ADJUSTMENT





HINT
* Centering bolts are used to mount the door hinge to the door. The door cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts on. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts (with washers) when making adjustments.
* A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.
1. ADJUST BACK DOOR

(a) Loosen the hinge bolts on the body and adjust the position of the door.





(b) Tighten the hinge bolts on the body after the adjustment.

Torque : 26 Nm (265 kgf-cm, 19 ft-lbf)

(c) Loosen the hinge bolts on the door and adjust the position of the door.





(d) Tighten the hinge bolts on the door after the adjustment.

Torque : 36 Nm (367 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

(e) Using a T40 "TORX" socket, adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws and then hitting the striker with a plastic-faced hammer.





(f) Using a T40 "TORX" socket, tighten the striker mounting screws after the adjustment.

Torque : 23 Nm (235 kgf-cm, 17 ft-lbf)

(g) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, adjust the male stopper position by slightly loosening the stopper mounting screws and then hitting the stopper with a plastic-faced hammer.





(h) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, tighten the male stopper mounting screws after the adjustment.

(i) Loosen the female stopper bolts and adjust the stopper position.





(j) Tighten the female stopper bolts after the adjustment.
