DESCRIPTION

Each of the smart key system warnings use the wireless door lock buzzer to alert the driver. The certification ECU determines whether the wireless door lock buzzer must sound in accordance with the warning conditions.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER)

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the wireless door lock buzzer sounds.

OK:

Wireless door lock buzzer sounds.

NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CERTIFICATION ECU - WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER AND BODY GROUND)

OK -- END (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER IS DEFECTIVE)

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CERTIFICATION ECU - WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the E84 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the A10 buzzer connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER

(a) Temporarily replace the wireless door lock buzzer with a new one.

(b) Check that the wireless door buzzer sounds by using the transmitter lock/unlock switch.

OK:

Wireless door lock buzzer sounds.

NG -- REPLACE ECU AGGREGATION BOX (CERTIFICATION ECU) Removal

OK -- END (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER IS DEFECTIVE)
