SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the front seat frame assembly (w/ adjuster) may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY LH

2. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Attach the 2 springs to install the seat track adjusting handle as shown in the illustration.

(b) Temporarily install the front seat frame assembly (w/ adjuster) with the 8 bolts.

(d) Using a T50 "TORX" socket, install the inner seat track bracket with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Installation

4. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH

(a) Attach the claw to install the lower shield.

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

7. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER UPPER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Install the inside cover with the screw.

8. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER UPPER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Install the inside cover with the screw.

9. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER LOWER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Attach the claw to install the inside cover.

(b) Install the screw.

10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER LOWER INSIDE COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

11. INSTALL UPPER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

(a) Install the upper active headrest unit with the 4 nuts.

Torque : 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

12. INSTALL LOWER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

(a) Install the lower active headrest unit with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

(b) Attach the clamp.

(c) Install the nut.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

13. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER

NOTICE:

* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with 11 new hog rings.

(b) Install the seatback cover (with pad) to the front seat frame assembly (w/ adjuster).

(c) w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

(d) Fully cover the airbag with the 2 seatback cover brackets and install the nut.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

CAUTION:
* For vehicles with side airbags, the seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.
* Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
* Install the bracket securely.
(e) Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.

(f) w/ Seatback Board:

Attach the hooks.

(g) w/ Seatback Board:

Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.

(h) w/o Seatback Board:

Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

(i) w/o Seatback Board:

Close the 2 zippers.

HINT
Fold the ends of the zippers inside the cover.

14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seatback Board)

(a) Push the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to attach the 2 claws.

(b) Open the lower part of the seatback board. Then install the seatback board with the 2 screws.

15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with 15 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
(b) Install the seat cushion cover (with pad) to the front seat frame assembly (w/ adjuster).

(c) Attach the hooks and install the 2 clips.

16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Installation

17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH

(a) Attach the clip and claw to install the inner shield.

(b) Install the screw.

18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Attach the 3 claws to install the cushion shield.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

(c) Connect the rubber band of the front seatback board or front seatback cover to the front seat frame assembly (w/ adjuster).

19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Attach the 3 claws to install the cushion shield.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

(c) Connect the rubber band of the front seatback board or front seatback cover to the front seat frame assembly (w/ adjuster).

20. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Attach the claw to install the release handle.

21. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the driver side.

22. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Driver Side)

(a) Install the handle with the 2 screws.

23. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
