Cruise Control Switch Circuit

CRUISE CONTROL: CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: Cruise Control Switch Circuit
- Cruise Control Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends signals to the ECM depending on the cruise control switch condition. The battery supplies positive (+) battery voltage to the cruise control switch. Then terminal CCS of the ECM receives the voltage according to the switch condition.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.

(e) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the cruise control main switch.

ECM (Cruise Control):

OK:

When cruise control switch operation is performed, the results will be same as above.

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH

(a) Remove the cruise control main switch Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE

(a) Remove the cruise control switch wire.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE

NOTICE:
The spiral cable is an important part of the SRS airbag system. Incorrect removal or installation of the spiral cable may prevent the airbag from deploying. Be sure to refer to the "See page" in the brackets.

HINT
* Removal Removal
* Installation Installation

(a) Remove the spiral cable.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

HINT
The spiral cable makes a maximum of approximately 5 rotations.

NG -- REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SPIRAL CABLE - ECM AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the E7 cable connector.

(b) Disconnect the A9 ECM connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:

for 2GR-FE

for 2AR-FE

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
