Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

METER: METER / GAUGE SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.

(c) Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / Trouble Codes.

(d) Check for DTCs and then write them down.

Refer to the Techstream operator's manual for further details.

(e) Confirm the details of the DTCs Meter / Gauge System.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON (do not start the engine) and turn the Techstream on.

(c) Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / Trouble Codes.

(d) Erase DTCs.
