Radiator Cooling Fan Motor Relay: Testing and Inspection





2AR-FE COOLING: COOLING FAN RELAY: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 RELAY BLOCK COVER

3. INSPECT NO. 1 COOLING FAN RELAY (FAN NO. 1)





(a) Remove the relay from the engine room No. 2 relay block.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(c) If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 cooling fan relay.

(d) Install the relay.

4. INSPECT NO. 2 COOLING FAN RELAY (FAN NO. 2)





(a) Remove the relay from the engine room No. 2 relay block.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 cooling fan relay.

(c) Install the relay.

5. INSPECT NO. 3 COOLING FAN RELAY (FAN NO. 3)





(a) Remove the relay from the engine room No. 2 relay block.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(c) If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 3 cooling fan relay.

(d) Install the relay.

6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 RELAY BLOCK COVER

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
