TC and CG Terminal Circuit
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: AIRBAG SYSTEM: TC and CG Terminal Circuit
- TC and CG Terminal Circuit
DESCRIPTION
DTC output mode is set by connecting terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
The DTCs are displayed by blinking the SRS warning light.
HINT
* When each warning light keeps blinking, a ground short in the wiring of terminal TC of the DLC3 or an internal ground short in each ECU is suspected.
* A DTC output mode signal is transmitted through CAN communication system to each ECU including the center airbag sensor assembly. Thus when all systems do not enter DTC output mode, there may be an ECM malfunction.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check if a CAN communication DTC is output Diagnosis System.
Result
B -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - ECM)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Disconnect the A9 connector from the ECM.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
2AR-FE:
2GR-FE:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CG OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND)
(a) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TC OF ECM)
(a) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:
2AR-FE:
2GR-FE:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR EACH ECU
OK -- REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
