Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

2AR-FE STARTING: SMART KEY SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.

(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Trouble codes.

(d) Check the DTCs and write them down.

(e) Confirm the details of the DTCs.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) (do not start the engine) and turn the Techstream on.

(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Trouble codes.

(d) Clear the DTCs.
