DESCRIPTION

If the rear RH side manual UP / DOWN function does not operate, a malfunction may be present in the power window regulator motor, power window regulator switch, power window regulator master switch or wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (RR DOOR)

(a) Remove the RR DOOR fuse from the instrument panel junction block.

(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.

Standard resistance:

Below 1 Ohms

NG -- REPLACE FUSE (RR DOOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH) (POWER SOURCE)





(a) Disconnect the I1 switch connector.

(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH)





(a) Remove the power window regulator switch.

(b) Measure the resistance of the switch when the switch is operated.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REGULATOR SWITCH - REGULATOR MOTOR)





(a) Disconnect the I1 switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the I3 motor connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH)





(a) Remove the power window regulator motor.

(b) Apply the battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

(c) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:





NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH)
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MASTER SWITCH - REGULATOR SWITCH)





(a) Disconnect the H2 switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the I1 switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
