Window Regulator: Testing and Inspection





WINDSHIELD / WINDOWGLASS: POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

NOTICE:
* Do not apply voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2, to avoid damaging the pulse sensor inside the motor.
* Reset the power window regulator motor (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the power window regulator motor and regulator assembly onto the door.





(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:





(c) If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator motor assembly.

2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Passenger Side)

(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.





(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:





(c) If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator motor assembly.

3. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear LH Side)

(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.





(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:





(c) If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator motor assembly.

4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH Side)

(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.





(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:





(c) If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator motor assembly.
