SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
* The procedure listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Removal

2. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) Removal

3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Apply protective tape around the cushion shield.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the hog rings and rubber bands of the seatback cover from the seat frame.

(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Remove the 3 screws.

(d) Detach the 2 claws and remove the cushion shield.

(e) Disconnect the connectors.

6. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH Removal

7. REMOVE LEG SUPPORT ADJUSTMENT SWITCH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch) Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and clip, and remove the cushion shield.

10. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH

(a) Disconnect the connectors.

(b) Remove the 3 screws and switch.

11. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

(d) Remove the 4 hog rings and detach the hooks.

(e) Remove the seat cushion cover wire.

(f) Remove the seat cushion cover with pad from the seat frame.

12. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch)

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

(d) Remove the 2 hog rings.

(e) Bend the 2 seat frame claws upward.

(f) Detach the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)

(a) Remove the 15 hog rings and front seat cushion cover.

14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch)

(a) Remove the 10 hog rings and front seat cushion cover.

15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) Removal

16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

(a) Remove the 3 hog rings.

(b) Detach the 3 hooks.

(d) Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

17. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Lift the seatback cover and remove the nut and detach the seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.

(b) Lift the seatback cover and remove the 4 hog rings and seatback cover with pad.

18. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 2 hog rings and seatback cover wires.

(b) Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) Removal

20. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.

21. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

22. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the front seatback shield.

23. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD RH

(a) Detach the wire harness clamp.

(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Detach the claw and remove the front seatback shield.

24. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH NO. 2

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the hook and remove the cushion shield.

25. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH NO. 1

Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

26. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System) Removal

27. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Climate Control Seat System) Removal

28. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL COVER LH NO. 1 (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, remove the 4 "TORX" screws and seatback climate control cover LH No. 1.

29. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Detach the clamp.

(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" screws and remove the seatback climate control blower LH and seatback climate control cover LH No. 3.

30. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL COVER LH NO. 2 (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Detach the 6 clamps and remove the seatback climate control cover LH No. 2.

31. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Detach the 2 clamps (A) in the direction indicated by the arrow (1).

(b) Detach the 2 clamps (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow (2).

(c) Detach the 2 claws, and remove the seat cushion climate control duct LH.

32. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" screw.

(c) Bend the bracket open slightly.

(d) Detach the 2 claws and remove the seat cushion climate control blower by pushing it rearward.

33. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Disconnect the seat heater control connector and detach the clamp.

(b) Detach the clamp and remove the seat heater control.

34. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Disconnect the 3 connectors.

(b) Detach the 6 wire harness clamps.

35. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the 5 connectors.

(b) Detach the 7 wire harness clamps.

36. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

(a) Put matchmarks on the seat track rail and sliding unit of the seat frame.

(b) Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 1 of the power seat motor and the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 2 and slide the seat to the foremost position.

(d) Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 2 of the power seat motor and the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 1 and slide the seat to the rearmost position.

(e) Using a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts.

(f) Remove the 2 nuts and front power seat motor assembly (slide motor).

NOTICE:
Do not apply excessive force to the slide cable (do not bend the slide cable 60° or more).

37. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Put matchmarks on the seat track rail and sliding unit of the seat frame.

(b) Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 1 of the power seat motor and the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 2 and slide the seat to the foremost position.

(d) Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 2 of the power seat motor and the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 1 and slide the seat to the rearmost position.

(e) Using a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts.

(f) Remove the 2 nuts and front power seat motor assembly (slide motor).

NOTICE:
Do not apply excessive force to the slide cable (do not bend the slide cable 60° or more).
